Art in Bayfront Park is proud to reveal the 2023 Collector’s Poster by Minnesota artist Barret Lee

Art in Bayfront Park has selected artist Barret Lee to capture the spirit of Duluth for a special limited release poster. The inaugural 2023 collector’s poster features a friendly yeti painted over a collage of historic Duluth newsprint.

Barret will be a featured artist at the festival this year. The 2023 Collector’s Poster and other works by Barret will be available for purchase at his booth (#2) near the park entrance. The image will also be featured on a reusable tote bag available for purchase at the festival information booth.

Barret Lee is a Minnesota based fine artist and illustrator with a degree in drawing and painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Since graduating Barret has been in countless art fairs and shows around the Midwest with Gamut Gallery in Minneapolis being his staple place to show work. Barret’s client list consists of the Minnesota Twins, Indeed Brewing, Arete Sports, Rafter Lofts and Saluté Dental. You can find him at studio #385 in the historic Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis.

Barret’s work encompasses the characters he has been illustrating since childhood and subject matters he has expanded upon since graduating from MCAD in 2016. Drawing from his biggest inspirations: surrealism, graffiti and cartoons, Lee utilizes a combination of acrylics, spray paint and occasional collage to express whimsical themes throughout his work. Personifying fantastical worlds that encourage the viewer to escape from the chaos of reality.
