They will introduce you to the technical methods in a format that allows a student to gain practical, working knowledge of material processes. These one hour classes offer special workshops for adults and teens who want to take a break from the mundane and spend some time being creative and learn new skills. Unleash your creative spirit with Artist, Judie De Wald will teach you how to make a basic design pendant from fused glass using this spring's rainbow of fashion colors!

Learn about this classic art form which is over 3000 years old. Participants will be introduced to the basic design techniques of this amazing process to create beautiful fused glass pendants in colors of their choice. Silver or gold plated bails are included in the price of the session.  Pendants will be fired in the artist's studio and mailed to you within two weeks.

Artist Amanda Klassen will teach abstract Acrylic Painting on a 20x16 canvas using various tools and brushes as an abstract artist. See how Amanda uses her imagination and inspirations to guide her work in creating her art pieces. Class will provide everything you need to get started: canvas, tool and/or paint brush, three paints.

Artist, Ivan Gilbert has been sculpting trees for 8 years and wants to share his art form. You will learn how to form copper wires into a tree sculpture. Copper wire to form a 10 inch wall tree will be available. Please bring with you a small pliers with smooth jaw faces and a wire trimmer if you have one. A limited number of tools will be available to use for the class. He will provide a hand-out describing the process and information about materials, techniques and other recommendations to get you started with this art form.
Please feel free to attend even if you aren't interested in making a tree, but curious about the process.

Experience the specific clay hand building technique with Artist, Angela Altringer Krueger. Working with Clay is very calming and helps bring stress relief to it's artist. Angela sees making pottery as a way of prayer or meditation In Angela's words, it "is a great and therapeutic form of meditation that helps center one's self. Students will learn clay technique and stress relief but, due to firing, will not be able to take home the project.

Artist Kyle Jeske teaches a class on how to do a painting from background to foreground. This way colors overlap and create a sense of depth. Many other techniques will be taught along the way such as shading and stripling. Kyle will provide you with a small canvas, red, blue, yellow, white and black paint. Brushes will be on-hand.

* Artist Rory Mattson has received 30 best in show awards and more than 100 ribbons and plaques. He brings to art students airbrush applications in transparent watercolor. Masking techniques and spatter background. Watercolor as an illustration technique. Students will be painting a bird for class. Please bring your own sketching paper or watercolor paper, watercolor paints, and your own brushes (#1, #2, or #3 round brushes are suggested). Feel free to bring your own work in process to obtain other tips or help.

The class will focus on the two important parts of the photographic process: finding and capturing outdoor scenes that reflect the photographer's vision, and presenting those images in the best possible prints. Topics in the class will include:
